I have trained and worked in the field of mental health since 2006. After graduating with a degree in psychology, I volunteered at a local mental health charity as a social support and drop-in worker for many years, supporting people with a wide range of mental health issues.
As well as my current private practise in Enfield, I worked as a counsellor at an alcohol and drug advisory service, supporting clients dealing with substance misuse, and at a local cancer support centre, working with clients and their families/carers who have been impacted by the effects of cancer. I also provide short-term sessions of cognitive behavioural therapy and solution-focused brief therapy for national healthcare groups and for private clients who may self-refer to me.
Until February 2020, I was a lecturer in counselling, teaching a variety of counselling skills and studies courses at a local further education college.
I work with a range of issues which include:
I have full Public Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance, and I also have regular supervision. I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and adhere to their Code of Ethics for good.
